Reporting Dashboard for Payment and Transaction Data

Modular reporting interfaces for analyzing payment and money transfer data within an enterprise financial platform.

Context

Within an enterprise financial platform, business teams needed a clear way to analyze payment and money transfer data. The reporting features were to be built as independent modules that could evolve separately from the rest of the application.

Challenge

Large data volumes had to be filtered, sorted and visualized with good performance.

Payment-domain requirements demanded precise presentation of statuses, amounts, currencies and timestamps.

The modules had to fit into an existing enterprise architecture and be deployable independently.

Solution

  • Independent frontend modules in React and TypeScript with clearly defined interfaces to the host application.
  • Data access via REST APIs with central caching and typed data models.
  • Interactive charts and tables with filters, drill-downs and export functions.
  • Reusable UI components documented in Storybook.

Our contribution

  • Frontend architecture of the reporting modules
  • Implementation of data visualizations and complex table views
  • Aligning API contracts with the backend teams
  • Component and integration tests with Jest and MSW

Result

  • A consolidated view of transaction data for business teams
  • New reports can be added as additional modules without changing the overall application
  • Consistent presentation through shared components
